How often do you change your plans?

No, really. How often do you change your plans? Because I came to realize I tend to change them constantly. At least lately change of plan seems to be the phrase of the day… 😉Now, before you go wondering what is going on with the selling of the car and plans on buying a new one the answer is the car got sold and we are waiting for the rest of the money to be paid. Which will happen in the next 10 or so days. And the plans on buying a new one are still in place but no money no fun…

Also the visit of Almou’s parents in the village will happen in about 8 to 10 days too which means I could either stay in Bamako or move. And move appeals to me more. So in between those days I’ll be heading across the border to neighbouring Burkina Faso. Tomorrow.

Which meant I had to get my passport and bus tickets organized today. With the passport situation solved I started running around various bus stations and companies trying to find one that has a bus leaving for Bobo-Dioulasso tomorrow. And it turned out harder than I thought. After all all those companies were supposed to be having a bus connecting Bamako to Ouagadougou which coincidently is the route Bobo-Dioulasso lies on. Eventually we have found a company going there tomorrow but with a twist or two. For start the bus leaves at 5 in the morning. And it takes it at least staggering 15 hours to arrive. Now there are two routes out of Bamako and going in that direction. A direct one and one going trough half of Mali before arriving at Burkina’s border. And guess which one my bus is taking…

Anyhow my current 😉 Burkina plan includes visiting Bobo, Ouaga and east of the country before catching a bush taxi in the north on next friday afternoon and heading back across the border to Mali. Straight to the village of Teberemt where I’ll finally get to see the rest of the family. From then on the plan is a bit vague but preliminary thoughts include crossing back to Burkina and heading over to Benin and then back again to visit the beautifully gren south west of the country. Then depending on the car buying plans it’s either Togo, Europe or if that business falls trough I will be running like a madman trying to get visas for Ivory Coast and Liberia.

How is that for changing plans? Or should they – by this stage – simply be called evolving plans? 😉
